The Mining Engineering program at METU began in 1960 to train engineers for the country’s growing mining industry. Its comprehensive four-year bachelor’s curriculum ensures graduates are well-versed in all aspects of the field. The department initiated graduate programs in 1960, offering both Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in mining engineering.
