Institution of the Hans Ruiter Award

In January 2024, FEMP Board decided to institute the Hans de Ruiter Award, honouring one of the founders of FEMP.

The award acknowledges outstanding achievements in the Master studies with the MSc European mining Course.

The Hans de Ruiter award is conferred by the FEMP board, on an annual basis, to a nominee meeting the following requirements at the time of submission of the application:

• is enrolled at a partner university and a member of the specific cohort;
• has completed all or most courses of the specific cohort;
• has received a high point average; and.
• has been voted by their cohort to have made significant contributions to the course community

Nominations for the award shall be conducted by the FEMP Board. Self-nominations are not accepted.
